Safe drinking water in Tooele County Schools

Children spend a significant part of their day at school. Because of this, the faucets that provide water used for consumption, including drinking fountains, and sinks used for cooking breakfast and lunch have been tested for lead in all the schools within Tooele County School District. Last week, the test results came back with a clean bill of health. All the schools have safe drinking water according to the guidelines established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The Choking Game

The school district received a tip that students are playing the “choking game." We are very concerned about this activity and ask that parents talk with their children about the hazards of participating in this type of "game." We want to keep all our students safe from harm and this game poses a risk to their well being. If you would like more information, please contact the district office Safe Schools department or your school’s administration.
