It has been my pleasure to serve as the Principal of Grantsville High School. The past four years have brought growth for me personally and more importantly for our school and students. Our faculty and staff are striving to make GHS a top academic school for our students.
Grantville High is committed to helping students make informed decisions about courses that will assure they are meeting graduation requirements as well as pushing them out of their comfort zone allowing them to grow as students. Many of our teachers are embracing the flipped classroom model and using resources such as Canvas to enhance the student learning experience.
Our athletic and extracurricular offerings offer students a wide variety of options, there truly is something for everyone at GHS. We want all students involved in an extracurricular activity. We know that students who are involved in school activates perform better in the classroom.
We also encourage parents to get involved at GHS. There are many opportunities to serve on a booster club, help decorate a homecoming float, or join the community council. We would love to see more parent volunteers to help with math and reading tutoring. If you are interested in helping us at the school speak with your student’s team/club advisor or come by the school and we can help to get you started.
This will be a summer of transition for GHS as we welcome a new Principal. Mr. Jared Small will take over on July 1. We also will be welcoming several new teachers, each of which will bring high standards to our classrooms and a student centered focus.
If there is ever anything we can do to help your or your student, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our administrative team.
