Leadership Matters - Volunteers Are Essential

In the Merriam-Webster dictionary, volunteer is defined both as a noun and a verb. As a noun, a volunteer is “a person who voluntarily undertakes or expresses a willingness to undertake a service.” As a verb, volunteer can be, “to offer or bestow voluntarily.” As we celebrate National Volunteer Week from April 7-13, I’d like to offer my thanks to the many wonderful people who volunteer in our local schools throughout the year.
